Thursday, 9 December 2021 marks 4 years and 4 month since Nikki was abducted to Sofia, Bulgaria. Today I am 100% alienated from Nikki, have no contact or receive no news of his well being. Parental Alienation is child abuse.
As I look at my calendar for December of 2017, I see I was frantically communicating with the South Africa Chief Family Advocate who was in turn communicating with her Bulgarian counterpart, all the while preparing my legal responses for the Hague Convention application which I had launched to have Nikki returned to South Africa. It was never my intention that Nikki should be returned without his mother, I have always held out that Nikki and his mother should both return to South Africa and that the parenting arrangement as ordered by the High Court be observed.
As I look deeper into the calendar of events that were unfolding in December 2017, I see I was preparing a formal response to a Bulgarian social worker's report that was presented to court in Bulgaria, watching communication from the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa, communicating with various legal professionals in Bulgaria, engaging International Child Abduction agencies, arranging translations of my legal documents into Bulgarian and drawing down hundreds of thousands of Rands to cover legal and other costs. There were to be no New Year's Resolutions this year, only plans.
